Join us at the Cycle Show – celebrating 20 years of super cycling

Where and when?

Alexandra Palace, the historic venue in north London that first broadcast BBC television in 1935, once again provides a fittingly fabulous venue for The Cycle Show from April 21 to April 23.

Set in 196 acres of parkland, the venue has played host to events from Red Bull’s Empire of Dirt to the Rapha Supercross.  With a commanding position overlooking the Capital, the wonderfully restored Aly Pally is the perfect setting for our show, providing a flexible space to host exhibits, demos, theatre talks and whatever requirements our partners wish for – indeed, we are planning a lung-busting hill climb up to the famous landmark. Watch this space!

What is the target market?

Public: A broad range, from the absolute beginner leisure cyclist seeking advice and starter gear, to the experienced enthusiast planning their next major purchase. With cycling in London on an ever-upward trajectory – whether increasing commuter numbers due to improved infrastructure and health benefits, or lycra-clad speed addicts hitting the Surrey Hills – the choice of London and its affluent cycling population is well considered, as the success of our Ally Pally debut in 2022 demonstrated.

We anticipate over 18,000 visitors will attend the show in April 2023. Our core audience is made up of passionate enthusiasts, with 67% in the 35-54 age group, 80% male and 74% ABC1.

Trade & Press: The UK’s top IBDs and online retailers will be invited to attend free of charge on Friday and exhibitors can also nominate dealers they’d like to meet at Ally Pally. SHIFT will be running the PR campaign for the show and will be hosting the cycling industry press as well as national media at the press office on the opening day.

Who organises the Cycle Show?

Immediate Media, owners of Bike Radar, MBUK and Cycling Plus, with a combined reach of 3.85M cyclists, plus a portfolio of titles including Radio Times, BBC Good Food and Top Gear which offer a huge leisure audience – broadening our potential demographic massively.

Who will be at the 2023 show?

With the usual array of glittering talent from the world of cycling still being finalised for stage appearances, take a look at some of the brands already signed up for The Cycle Show: the best of British from the likes of Hope, Reilly, Kinesis, Halo and Brooks; Euro class from Fizik, FFWD, Mavic, Gazelle, Bolle, Bosch and Porsche (yes, Porsche!); and American flyers from Cannondale, Surly and Lezyne.
