The first-ever eBike Demo Weekend at Alexandra Palace proved to be a great success with bike brands and and riders wanting to find out about and test ride the latest electric bikes. Over 100 eBikes were available to ride on the tarmac track from traditional town bikes ideal for leisure rides, through to sporty folding options for commuters, plus a selection of MTB and gravel bikes and a trail winding through the woodlands to try them out on.

The event attracted 24 brands and over 1800 eager riders over two days. Younger riders also got a chance to ride a bike too courtesy of Squish Bikes on their own track alongside the Demo Village.

If you’re looking to upgrade your bike to an electric version or you’ve thought about getting an eBike, but are a bit overwhelmed by all the options, then the eBike Demo Weekend might just be the answer.

  • Demo sessions are free for the public, but riders are asked to register online before the day.
  • Riders can guarantee their ride and time slot for just £5, meaning that you can secure your ride time and entry
  • Each session lasts 40 minutes so the you get a chance to properly try a selection of bikes across two tracks (tarmac and a woodland trail)
  • You can ride as many times as you like during each session, but bikes will be subject to availability due to re-charging and not all models will be available in every size. Helmets will be available to borrow on the day, but we do recommend you bring your own one.

IMPORTANT NOTE: You must over 16 to take part in the demo sessions. Riders aged 16-18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times

The eBike Demo Village is located within the parkland of Alexandra Palace. The entrance to the Demo Village is off South Terrace, follow directions to the Ice Rink. Turn at the roundabout off South Terrace into the Ice Rink car park. The pavilion car park is then located via a right-hand turn which will be clearly marked as the entrance to the Drive In. Look out for our staff who will be checking tickets and guiding you towards our parking marshals.

The track area is fenced off so only cyclists are allowed and the numbers on the demo tracks will be limited for each session.

Parking / Public Transport / Food and Drinks

There is parking available adjacent to the Demo Village at only £3 for a whole a day.
